NEWS2007-- 2006--2005--2004--2003--2002--2001--2000Monday, March 10th 2008 - Releasing the 'SSI2 ISA' and 'SSI2 PCI' Products (full release) We announce the release and the general availability for purchase from our customers of two new products in the SSI2 line of products - 'SSI2 ISA' and 'SSI2 PCI' products. The 'SSI2 ISA' product allows using ISA bus peripheral cards outside of desktop and notebook computers. The 'SSI2 PCI' product allows using PCI bus peripheral cards outside of desktop and notebook computers. A specific host card, depending on the computer system - a desktop or a notebook, is needed in order to use the 'SSI2 ISA' and 'SSI2 PCI' products. Friday, March 7th 2008 - Elektor-France technology magazine features our products An online technology magazine Elektor-France features our products on their main page, and provides an article on them as well - special thanks to Guy Raedersdorf / Editor in Chief. Written in French language Elektor reaches subscribers in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Thursday, February 21th 2008 - Uniform Support for DOS Software (full release) We are releasing support for DOS software, for our USB2 based line of products and the SSI2 based line of products. Additional information is available in our article on the DOS software support. The Uniform DOS support is part of our installation software and is available as a free download for our existing and new customers. Wednesday, February 13th 2008 - Introducing 64bit support under Linux operating system (full release) We are adding support for 64bit releases of Linux operating system, for our USB2 based line of products and the SSI2 based line of products, which help utilize the advanced features of the latest microprocessors. The 64bit support under Linux operating system is included in our install software, and available as a free download to our existing and new customers. Tuesday, February 5th 2008 - New edition of USB2ISA-R, and discontinuing of USB2ISA product There is a new edition of our ROHS compliant (lead free) product - USB2ISA-R. One of our best selling products - USB2ISA, is non ROHS compliant (non lead free) and will be discontinued. Our customers have a choice of the equivalent - USB2ISA-R or USB2ISA-RA products. In addition, for our volume orders customers, we are able to provide standard (leaded) / non ROHS compliant versions based on our USB2ISA-R product. Monday, October 22, 2007 - Updated main web page, including SSI2 products The web site of our company has a new main page look. We are bringing our third generation - SSI2 line of products, to the front. They will allow servicing of - ISA, PCI, and 16 and 32bit PCMCIA cards. Monday, April 30, 2007 - Microsoft Windows Vista support We have updated our installation software to include support for working under Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system. We have updated our User's Guide as well to include the description of the latest options and features. Our installation software is provided as a free update to all of our existing customers. Thursday, March 01, 2007 - Start offering ROHS compliant product in the USB2ISA family of products We start offering the ROHS compliant USB2ISA-RA-R product - recommended for customers in the European Union, and all other customers as well. In addition, we did update the ROHS compliant status on the individual page of every of our products, and within the product name - when ordered as an acessory to USB2ISA-RA-R product. Customers in the European Union shall select our ROHS compliant products, when placing an order. The ROHS regulation of the EU is very recent and it allows exemptions . Customers in the European Union wishing to use an exemption and order any of our products, need to contact us. Friday, December 29, 2006 - Updated information on UPCOMING PRODUCTS page We plan to start releasing in January 2007 the first products of a new product line. Friday, May 19, 2006 Notice to European clients regarding ROHS requirements Starting July first 2006 hardware imported into Europe must meet ROHS requirements. ARS Technologies started work to meet the ROHS standards in January 2005. We will ship fully ROHS compliant hardware in October of 2006. Between July and October 2006, ARS Technologies will not ship items to Europe until our entire stock of hardware is ROHS compliant. Wednesday, 3 May 2006 - ARS Technologies releases developer support for MAC OS. Details about using and installing the MAC OS support for usb2isa and usb2pcmcia products is located at: MAC OS Support for Developers Monday, 2 January 2006- ARS Technologies adds new powering options to its inventory ARS Technologies adds the ISA-PWR-EC External Power Supply 25W-ECONOMY and PWR-5V External Power Supply 5V to it's inventory. The ISA-PWR-EC External Power Supply 25W-ECONOMY offers a more economical powering choice while the PWR-5V External Power Supply 5V expands the powering of the USB2PCMCIA card. Wednesday, 11 October 2005- ARS Technologies launches new company image and website. After seven years of the same website layout, ARS Technologies has decided to update its company image and website. The new website offers secure ordering via a secure socket layer. Also, it is now easier for clients to receive installation updates and new products release dates faster, once they join the ARS Technologies product update mailing list. Friday, 9 September 2005 - change in the payment options There is a change in the payment options - new customers can order and pay for the products using credit cards only. We reserve the option of shipping C.O.D. for delivery within US, and bank funds transfer for delivery outside of US, for our existing customers who have an account with us. Monday, 22 August 2005 - phasing out our USB1 based products We are in the process of phasing out our USB1 based line of products. They will be available in limited quantities in the next 2-3 months and will be discontinued after this. We offer equivalent USB2 based line of products. Thursday, 11 August 2005 - new enclosures, install software and SDKBUS updates We have designed and are releasing a new generation of enclosures. The first products to be updated with the new enclosures are the USB2PCMCIA product and the USB2ISA-RA product - including a single length and a double length enclosure. There is a new version of the installation software for our USB2 line of products - our existing customers can request a free update. We are releasing a new version of the SDKBUS product as well - existing customers can get the new version through the SDKBUS-UP update. Thursday, 16 December 2004 - release of a new version of SDKBUS We are releasing a new version of our SDKBUS product - containing a new API set based specifically for our USB2.0 based products - USB2ISA family of products and USB2PCMCIA product. Our new API set allows easy access to hardware resources - I/O ports, memory areas, IRQ channels, DMA channels, and simplifies the development of device drivers and applications using these hardware resources in C/C++, Visual Basic, and Java programming languages.
