usb2isa-slot - USB 2.0 to ISA card slot version

USB2ISA-X3-SLOT ARS Technologies usb2isa-slot card allows plugging and handling of a number of ISA cards using an additional standard passive ISA backplane bus.

Dimensions: 5.8 X 2.25 X 0.5 in., 14.5 X 5.25 X 1.8 cm.

Not ROHS compliant - customers in the European Union, unless claiming an exemption, should order usb2isa-r product.



ARS Technologies’ usb2isa-slot provides simple migration from ISA form factor to USB, full access to memory and I/O space of the ISA card, and handling of IRQ and DMA events.

The usb2isa-slot functions on these Operating Systems:

Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista
Linux - 2.4.xx and 2.6.xx kernels
Mac OS X (for developers)
Installation Software
The usb2isa software includes UNIVERSAL SOFTWARE LAYER feature.

We currently offer support for DOS under Widows operating systems.

The usb2isa-slot also allows using a PC/104 type adapter when connected together with the ARS Technologies ISA-PC104 adapter.

Pre-order Considerations

1. Powering needs. Our power supply module provides -5V, +12V, and -12V for using the usb2isa family of products. To find whether you need a Power Supply Module, please read DO I NEED A POWER SUPPLY MODULE .

2. Software. The UNIVERSAL SOFTWARE LAYER should provide all the software you would need to get our usb2isa card to work with your isa card(s). We offer an sdkbus for developers. If you have access to the source code, you may be interested in our SDKBUS

Otherwise, our hardware comes with all the software and drivers you will need.

3. Enclosures. ARS Technologies offers no enclosure for the usb2isa-slot card.
